Eugene Lammerding, Chair
President of the Dufferin Federation of Agriculture and past Board Member for The Co-operators, Eugene is a passionate advocate for both the agriculture and rural communities in Ontario and was instrumental in the development of The Ontario Rural Council.
Douglas C. Jack, Past Chair
A Barrister & Solicitor, Douglas was born and raised in Fergus, a small rural community, and is recognized as an active community member. He recently chaired the successful community capital campaign for the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex. In his professional career, Doug has a particular interest in the veterinary and agriculture sectors and serves in a number of advisory roles.
Gary Davison, Vice Chair
Gary currently farms in the Niagara Peninsula on the north shore of Lake Erie. His agricultural and rural industry activities are broad and varied and he has been an active community member for many years. Gary has been a member of the board of Agricultural Publishing Company, a member of the Economic Development Commission and Founding Chair of the Rural Affairs Committee.
Dennis Deters, Treasurer
Dennis currently works for the Co-operators as the Senior Vice-President,Member Relations and Corporate Services. Dennis sits on a number of boards, both nationally and internationally, and is actively involved in his community, including having chaired the Guelph and Wellington United Way.
Mary Feldskov, Secretary
Mary is the Manager of Communications and Membership for the Alliance of Ontario Food Processors, and a Past President of the Junior Farmers’ Association of Ontario. Mary and her husband Steve and young daughter, Audrey, live in Elmira where she volunteers with her church and the Elmira Curling Club.
Bob Cummings, Director
Bob applied his experience as a farmer and feed-mill owner and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture to his business portfolio as Broker, Robert C. Cummings Real Estate Ltd. From his corporate office in Tara, Ontario, Mr. Cummings serves clients across Canada and internationally. When asked why he wanted to join the FRL Board, Bob replied, I believe that both economic development and community development are important components of prosperous rural communities. I work with successful businesses in my career and I wanted to find a way to bring that expertise to support community-based organizations as well.
